Ingredients
- 1/2 lb butter
- 1/2 lb sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 lb currants
- 1/4 lb raisins
- 1/4 lb sultanas
- 3oz ground almonds
- 2oz candied peel
- zest of one large orange
Instructions
- preheat oven to 180 degrees centigrade
- Beat butter and sugar until light and pale
- add 6 eggs, one at a time
- add flour and dried fruit, ground almonds and orange zest
- pour batter into a lined cake tin and bake or 1 hour
